3D Text Tutorial
I found a great tutorial for a 3D text effect. To create 3D text you need to have Photoshop CS5. I read through the tutorial and then started remaking it from memory. I didn't copy it exactly, as you can see if you compare the two end products. I just picked up the important bits. What's the point in following a tutorial if you're not going to remember how to do it? Here are the main points I picked out:
- An image with radial blur can make a great background.
- Blending modes are very important and can turn an alright graphic into a spectacular one.
- You can make simple lighting effects with the basic soft-rounded brush.
As I do after reading/ viewing tutorials I consider what I've learned and apply it to future graphics. Doing this works for me and I recommend you give it a go.
